Once there was a poor fisherman in a small village. His were friendly and always ready to help each other. One day, the fisherman went fishing as usual. But he didn't catch many fish. He decided to for a better fishing place further down the river instead staying in the same spot.
As he was rowing his boat, , he saw a beautiful swan in the water. Its white feathers shone brightly in the sun. The fisherman was excited. He thought he could sell the swan and make a lot of money. So he quickly his net and caught the swan.
However, when he was about to take the swan home, he heard that the local(当地的) were looking for this swan. It was a special swan that belonged to the king. The fisherman got scared. But he that he knew nothing about it.
To his surprise, the swan started to speak! It begged(乞求) the fisherman to set it free. The swan promised that if the fisherman let it go, it would bring good luck. The fisherman realized how he was. He finally set the swan free. From then on, the fisherman learned that being greedy(贪婪的) could bring trouble. Only he worked hard and was kind like his neighbors, could he have a happy life.
