World Reading Day is held on April 23rd every year. On
this day, we are encouraged to read more books. Reading is
like opening a window to different worlds. Around 130
million books have been come out in the human history. A
reader will read at most 6,000 books in his life. Most of them
won't be so much fun or very unforgettable. Books are like
people. We meet many but only a few touch our hearts.
Perhaps we will only remember about 30 books. They

Books make us show our feelings better. When we see a

may find it hard for us to use words to show our feelings and

Great writers build bridges for us in order to
communicate with each other. They describe the similar

dying, and we feel sad about her hurt and the unfairness of
the world. Or perhaps she is poor, weak but hard-working,
and we find the courage to face the difficulties in life through
