In January 2023, a little dog named Naonao had a big problem—vets found she had cancer. When ordinary vets told her owner that surgery might not work, the owner didn't give up and turned to traditional Chinese veterinary medicine(TCVM, 中兽医学), reported China Daily.
These days, TCVM is becoming very popular with pet owners. It can concentrate on taking care of pets for their whole lives. It uses gentle and natural methods, such as acupuncture(针灸), herbal medicine(中草药), and soft massage, to help pets feel better.

Now TCVM is catching on outside China too. In the US, vets use acupuncture to help animals with pain. And it's not only for small pets. Big animals, such as horses, cows, and even animals in zoos, can get TCVM treatments too.
