(原创)Xu Uudlekh has a close connection with migratory birds(候鸟), as he has been taking care of them for the past 16 years at Huihe National Nature Reserve.
The 46-year-old is called as the “father of migratory birds” by his workmates. The reserve is an important part of Hulunbuir Grassland, and is the main living area and way station(中转站) for birds such as great bustards and red-crowned cranes.
“I need to check everywhere, help and take care of migratory birds at the reserve.” He said that he usually looks after the 300-square-metre birdhouse on his own during winter, while some workmates would help him from early summer to autumn.
Xu usually gets up early to feed(喂养) the birds, which is hard work because each kind of bird has its own dietary preference. “Cranes like fish, while geese eat corn and water grasses. We have a lake in front of the management(管理) station, so I fish there to feed the birds,” he said. “The work is harder in winter when the temperature falls to about $-35\ °\mathrm{C}$.”
In addition to feeding the birds and cleaning the birdhouse, he looks after many injured(受伤的) birds. “They are usually badly injured after crashing into cables or being attacked by predatory birds. Some of them are found by local villagers and sent to the station,” he said.
He has helped and taken care of more than 200 migratory birds in the past 16 years, and he has mixed feelings every time recovered birds fly back into nature. “I feel sad to see them leave, but also happy that they are able to fly again,” he said. “My job is meaningful not only to me, but to the birds, who may die without help. I'm worried about the birds all the time. But thanks to my work, I've had many experiences and learned so much about these birds. It's also lovely to hear the birdsong every morning.”

根据第二段“The reserve is an important part of Hulunbuir Grassland, and is the main living area and way station for birds”可知对一些候鸟来说,辉河自然保护区是它们的主要栖息地和中转站,对它们而言很重要。故选C。
根据第三段“I need to check everywhere, help and take care of migratory birds at the reserve.”和第五段“In addition to feeding the birds and cleaning the birdhouse,he looks after many injured birds.”
根据下文“Cranes like fish,while geese eat corn and water grasses.” 故选A。
根据第四段“which is hard work”和最后一段“My job is meaningful not only to me,but to the birds, who may die without help. I'm worried about the birds all the time.”
