Dear David,
How are you going? The summer holiday is coming. My parents encourage me to invite you to spend the holiday with me. I’ve planned some wonderful activities for us.
First, we’ll join two clubs at the Youth Centre. From July 10th to 14th, we can attend the Kung Fu Club. You’ve always been interested in Chinese culture, and learning Kung Fu will let you experience its charm—we’ll practice basic moves and even have a group performance! Then, from July 17th to 21st, the DIY Club is perfect for us. We’ll learn to make models, maybe traditional Chinese buildings, and展示 our works. It’ll be fun to create something with our hands.
Besides these, I’ll show you around Zhenjiang and nearby cities. We can visit Jinshan Temple and the ancient Xijindu Street. We’ll also take a trip to Yangzhou to see the Slender West Lake. Of course, tasting local美食 is a must—you’ll love Zhenjiang’s pot cover noodles and juicy crab soup dumplings! What’s more, my family and I will teach you to make dumplings at home. It’ll be a great way to enjoy Chinese family life.
