It’s cold in winter. The wind is howing. Snowflakes are dancing in the sky.
But inside, the house is filled with warm and soft light. After reading a storybook, Tom goes to bed.
Now he is having a dream. In his dream, he is in the desert. He walks under the sun, so he feels very hot. He’s so thirsty that he looks for a drink. But after a long walk, he can’t find any water. He feels so sad. It’s getting dark. He’s too tired to walk. He’s very sleepy and falls asleep.
When he wakes up, he feels hot and finds himself in bed.
“I don’t feel well, Mum,” Tom says.
“You look ill. How are you feeling now, Tom?” Mum asks.
“I have a headache. My throat is sore,” Tom says.
Mum touches Tom’s forehead. “Oh! You have a fever. Let’s go to the hospital,” she says.
