Read and answer: What does Nick do on New Year's Day in Italy?
Wu Xiao is from China. He lives in Beijing. Nick is from Italy. He's new in Beijing. They are new classmates and neighbours.

It's Jan. 30th, the day before Chinese New Year. Wu Xiao knocks at Nick's door. "Who is it?" Nick asks. "It's me, Wu Xiao," Nick opens the door. "Today is New Year's Eve! We will eat dumplings for dinner. Will you come?" Wu Xiao asks. "Mm, all right," says Nick.

It's 6:00 p.m. Wu Xiao and Nick are having dumplings. "Ouch, my teeth! The dumpling is so hard." "Ah, you got the coin! Good Luck! Nick!" "What? Coin?" Nick feels terrible. "Take it easy. The coin in the dumpling is for a good wish. You will have a lot of money," says Wu Xiao. "Oh, I see," says Nick.

"What do you do on New Year's Day in Italy?" Asks Wu Xiao. "We don't eat dumplings. Let me show you. Excuse me, sir, are these bowls new?" Nick asks. "No, they are old." says Wu Xiao's father. Nick throws the bowls onto the floor. "Oh, no. What are you doing there?" Wu Xiao's father shouts.

"There's a special custom in Italy, we break old glasses, old bowls and old plates for a good wish. I just show you that," says Nick. "Oh, what a special custom! Anyway, Happy New Year to you all!" says Wu Xiao's father.
