People have different festivals and many countries have their own animal festivals to respect animals.
August 26th is National Dog Day in the USA. On that day, all dogs can enjoy the festival. American people see it as an important day because they think dogs are very kind to them and help them a lot. Dogs can pull sleds, carry things and do many other important things.
In Belgium, the second Sunday of May is the Festival of the Cats. On that day, there are large parades. People are dressed up as cats. They play some interesting games to have fun. They hope they can have lucky days in the next year.
