A Heroic Journey in History
In 1934, something important happened in China. It was called the Long March. The soldiers of the Red Army started their journey from a place called Ruijin in Jiangxi. They had to go on a very long walk to find a safe place.
When the Red Army arrived in Guizhou, they faced new challenges.
First, they crossed the Chishui River, not just once, but four times! Like clever fish, they swam away in tricky ways to get away from the enemy. After that, they went to the Jinsha River and crossed it too, moving even farther away from the enemy who were chasing them.
Then, something really exciting happened. They had to cross the Dadu River and capture the Luding Bridge. The soldiers were very brave. They rushed across the river and took the bridge. It was an important victory!
But their journey wasn’t over yet. In Sichuan province, they still had to climb over the high Jiajin Mountain. It was very hard, but they didn’t give up. After that, they crossed the large grasslands, where they faced many difficulties, like bad weather and hunger.
Finally, after a long and hard journey, in 1936, they reached Huining in Gansu province. The Long March was over, and it was a success!
The Red Army soldiers showed great courage and the spirit of never giving up. They are real heroes, and their amazing journey should always be remembered!
