Do you know Peter Rabbit? He is many children's favourite rabbit. English writer Beatrix Potter first wrote about him in 1902. In the story, Peter is a smart and lovely rabbit. And last week, I watched a film based on the story.
The film is about Peter's family, the McGregor family and Bea. Mr. McGregor has a garden. He grows vegetables in it and works hard to look after them well. Bea is a beautiful lady living next door. She loves all animals. And Peter is a naughty rabbit and doesn't like working. He is good at playing tricks. He often runs into Mr. McGregor's garden to steal his vegetables. Old McGregor does a lot of things to keep his vegetables safe.
One day, Mr. McGregor saw the rabbit stealing his vegetables and ran after him. Sadly, he died of a heart attack when he caught the rabbit. Then the young Mr. McGregor came to look after the garden. A lot of interesting stories happened among them in the film.
Many people think the film is interesting. But I have a different idea. I just don't like the rabbit at all. He just seems to be lovely. What does he do in the film? He does nothing but plays tricks to steal vegetables. He doesn't do any work.
Don't learn from Peter Rabbit. Remember that if you want something, you must work hard for it.
