David Blair walked slowly down the road towards the bus stop. Yesterday was the 1. w day of his life. He started at his new school and nobody spoke to him all day.
At the bus stop David noticed a 2. c of boys from his school. They looked at him and 3. c on talking. The bus arrived and they all got on.
David looked around for an 4. e seat. "There is a seat here," said a 5. v behind him. It was one of the boys from the bus stop.
"Thanks," said David and he sat down.
"That's OK," said one of the boys. "I'm Fraser and this is Ian. I think I saw you at school yesterday. Are you 6. n?"
David introduced himself and 7. e that he just moved to school. Fraser and Ian were in the same year as David and they lived two streets away from him. The three boys 8. s the short journey to school talking about football, music and all the best places to go in the city.
As they got 9. o the bus, Fraser said to David, "We usually go into the city on Saturday with a group of friends. 10. W don't you come along?" David was really happy and agreed.
Perhaps the new school would be a fantastic place after all.
