Food Expressions
There are a lot of vegetables and fruit, such as cucumbers, potatoes, bananas. But do you know? Food is not always just food.

For example, a cucumber is a long, green vegetable. But when we say, "She is as cool as a cucumber." It means that she is always calm.

"Big banana" is a word from an American comedy. It is used to describe a person who is very famous and important.

If you describe a problem as a hot potato, you mean that it is very difficult and nobody wants to deal with it.
But something is considered small potatoes if it is not important.

Someone might call you a couch potato if you sit and watch TV all day.
