Ⅴ. A) Read the passage and answer the questions. 阅读短文,回答问题。
I used to live in Shanghai, but two years ago my family moved to Nanjing.I left so many friends behind at my middle school in Shanghai. From time to time, I think about them and wonder what and how they are doing. So when I received an invitation to a school reunion party, I was very excited.
I took the train to Shanghai. The party was at my old school. When I arrived, a guard at the front gate told me to go to the school hall. There, the head teacher gave an introduction and welcomed us back. He looked exactly the same!
There were games, food and music. I visited my old classroom and it seemed a lot smaller than it used to be, but the truth is I am a lot bigger and taller than I used to be.
The best part was seeing my old friends again. Deng Xiaofan used to be so shy that his face turned red every time he spoke in public. Now, he is very confident and popular. He even gave a speech at the party!
Another friend, Pan Ling, used to take a lot of pride in her work. She used to study all the time and didn't want to hang out with us! Now, she wants to be an actress on a comedy show instead of being a doctor. It's really surprising because she didn't even use to be funny!
Some of them looked a little different too. One boy has lost so much weight that I did not recognize him! Some of my classmates were absent from the party, but they sent letters saying they wished they could be there in person.
It's amazing how much we have grown and changed in just two years. Some of us experienced success and others went through failures, but we all know one thing will not change: the spirit of our friendship! Like the saying goes, "Friends are like stars. You don't always see them but you know they are always there!"
