My name’s Lin Xiang. There are too many rules for me at home and at school this term.
Every morning, I must get up at 6:00 a. m. When I get up, my mum always asks me to make my bed. After breakfast, my mum usually says, “Don’t leave the dirty dishes in the kitchen.” When I get home, I can’t play with my friends because I must do my homework first. And then I have to practise the piano before I can have my relaxing time—watching TV or playing computer games. Also, I must read books for half an hour before bed. When reading, I must keep quiet. How terrible!
My middle school life is not easy for me, either. I must get to school at 7:30. To get to school on time, I have to leave home at 6:50 because my home is far from school. I have many nice clothes, but I can’t wear them at school. We must wear the blue school uniform from Monday to Friday. It doesn’t look good and gets dirty easily. I can’t have long hair. Teachers say it usually takes girls too much time to make long hair beautiful and tidy. And we can’t play with students from other classes! I don’t know why we have such a strange(奇怪的) rule. Everyone wants to make more friends, right? It’s interesting and useful.
