My name is Gabby, and I want to be your language partner! I am from London, but I have lived in Shanghai for three years with my mom and dad. My parents both teach English at a university and I really admire them! I love living here and I want to learn how to speak Chinese! I also want to learn more about China and the Chinese culture. I believe that you can help me with all three, Ruiqi!
I am 16 years old and am a student too. My favorite subjects are art, languages and music. I play the piano and the violin and my hobby is taking photographs.
I am quite shy and nervous about speaking Chinese because I make a lot of mistakes, but I know I will be better with more practice. Like people say, "Practice makes perfect!" I think that's the secret to being a good learner. After all, that's what my parents always tell me and they know best! I get all my tips about learning English from them and could speak fluently since I was very young. I love reading so my parents bought all kinds of books for me.
