My favorite Chinese festival
My favorite Chinese festival is the Dragon Boat Festival.

It falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. It has a long history. It is said that people started to celebrate it to remember Qu Yuan, a great poet in ancient China.
There are many activities on this festival. People usually have dragon boat races. The dragon boats are so exciting and the races are really wonderful. And eating zongzi is also a traditional custom. Zongzi is made of rice and different kinds of fillings, wrapped in bamboo leaves. They are very delicious.
I love the Dragon Boat Festival because it makes me feel the strong traditional Chinese culture. The activities are full of fun and the zongzi is my favorite food. It's really a special and meaningful festival.

Teachers' Day has been celebrated since 1985. It asks all the Chinese people to respect the teachers for not only their labors but also for their contributions to the Chinese society. Also, it reminds people that knowledge should be valued.
On Teachers' Day, students usually send greeting cards with good wishes to their teachers to show their respect.
Last year, I made some cards with flowers for my teachers to show my love and thanks to them. It makes me happy to see smiles on their faces.
