Turning an Iron Stick into a Needle
Long ago, there was a boy hated studying and often ran away from school.
One sunny day, he saw an old woman by a river. She was rubbing a thick iron stick against a big stone.
“Why are you doing that?” The boy asked.
“I’m making a needle for sewing clothes,” she answered, still rubbing the iron stick.
The boy laughed, “But this iron stick is so thick! How long will it take?”
The woman smiled, “If I work every day, the iron stick will get thinner. Water drops can break a stone!”
Suddenly, the boy understood. He ran back to school and studied hard every day. When he grew up, he became one of China’s most famous poets.
Keep trying, and impossible things can happen!
