The Greatest Fortune
A young man always complained(抱怨) about everything around him. An old man said to him, “Why are you still complaining since you have such fortune(财富)?” “Where are they?” asked the man eagerly.
“Your eyes,” answered the old man, “give me your eyes and you will have everything.”
“No. I can't lose(失去) my eyes.”
“Fine. How about your hands? I will give you a bag of gold for exchange(交换).”
“No. I can't lose my hands, either.”
Finally, the old man said, “You have eyes to learn and hands to work. Now you see, you have such great fortune!”
