Clara Gets a Pen Pal

Clara is 11 years old. She lives in Florida. She thinks it'll be fun to have a pen pal. And she gets a pen pal in a very different way.
Clara writes the note and puts it into a bottle.
Then she throws it into the sea.
The bottle floats on the sea for two years.
It drifts across the sea from Florida to the country of France. A girl named Renee finds the bottle and writes to Clara.

Clara is very excited to get the answer. She tells her parents, "I've got a pen pal now! Her name is Renee. She's from France. She likes playing the violin. We're going to write to each other every month. Renee says she is coming to visit us next summer holiday."
